Where did my account go?
Discountneedlework.com is now running on an entirely new shopping cart software system called ShopSite. Because of this, previous customers will need to create a *new* account as your previous information has not been transferred. It only takes a minute or two.
Do I have to have an account to order?
No, an account is not necessary.
Can I order via fax, mail, or email?
Of course! You can print out an Order Form (click link), and fax or mail according to the instructions. You are also welcome to email the form to orders@discountneedlework.com. Please include an email address if possible for order confirmation.
What is your Return Policy?
PLEASE, NO RETURNS on sale priced, closeout, or discontinued items. Special Orders are non-refundable. Cross Stitch leaflets and Books are also non-refundable. Kits, silk ribbon, and packaged fabrics may be returned unopened within 30 days.
The product price only (from time of original purchase) will be refunded by the same method used for the purchase, less 5% restocking fee. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. You MUST request an RMA number BEFORE returning your items. If you have a return, please email us for an RMA number, with your original order number or name and date.
What are your store hours?
Discountneedlework.com has always been an internet-only business (the internet is 24/7!), and we do not have set phone answering hours. You will get the quickest response via email.
Where are you located?
We are located in Kirkland, WA, which is just east of Seattle. Since we're web-based we do not have a "brick and mortar" store. Our mailing address is: 11410 NE 124th Ave #637, Kirkland, WA 98034.
Payment Terms
Orders from discountneedlework.com may be paid with major credit card, and personal check or money order (mail order only) Please remember that personal checks are held for 10 days to allow them to clear the bank before the order is shipped.
We're also now accepting payments via PayPal! If you decide to pay by PayPal, you will be taken to PayPal's 3rd party site to complete your order. Orders will be held until funds have cleared.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to pretty much all countries where USPS and UPS delivers. International rates are quoted during check out. If you have a question before you place your order, send us an email.
Please note that due to shipping costs we cannot split-ship international orders. This may cause order delays. You are always welcome to inquire about stock levels before ordering.
Why do you require my CVV2 code?
The CVV2 "Card Verification Value" is a 3-digit or 4-digit number displayed on the back of your credit/debit card, or on the front if you have Amex. This is a protection for customers to reduce online theft, because it means the person who orders MUST have the actual card when ordering. CVV2 codes are not permenantly stored by our system. LRC Discount Needlework thankfully has not had to deal with online theft, but nonetheless we do everything possible to keep your information safe.
Why aren't all of the colors of Paternayan/Elsa Williams yarn I ordered in stock?
Paternayan/Elsa Williams wool yarn is made by a company called JCA. Since the recession began, some colors of Paternayan/Elsa Williams yarn have been a little hard to get from the maker. JCA is doing the best they can under the current circumstances, but it does mean that Discountneedlework.com (as well as other retailers) may be backordered for some colors of yarn for an extended period of time. Most colors are available, but you may be asked if you can substitute colors if one or more that you ordered is currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I bought too much of one color of yarn. Can I exchange it for another color?
Yes, if your original order was within the last 6 months. Although Paternayan and Elsa Williams yarn is fairly consistent in their dye lots, there can be some variation over time. The newer and closer together the dye lots, the more consistent they tend to be.
With exchanges, the customer pays shipping both ways.
I received the wrong item/My order went to the wrong address. How do I send it back to you?
On the rare occasion that we're not perfect (hey, who is?) and we sent you the wrong item or it went to the wrong address, just let us know and we'll attempt to send the correct item right away. Included will be a pre-paid envelop for you to return the mistaken order. If it was our error, you will not be charged twice for shipping.
What is your privacy policy?
LRC Discount Needlework will NEVER sell, trade, lend, or give your personal information to an unaffiliated 3rd party. We hate spam as much as you do! Any special offers, newsletters, etc will be generated by LRC Discount Needlework. We try to keep it reasonable and not fill your inbox.
We obey good business practices in web marketing, so if you do not wish to receive any of these emails, please "unsubscribe" rather than hitting your "spam" button, so that we do not end up on email black lists. Thank you. :)
